There are three kinds of stage carving techniques for sandcarving: single stage, double stage, and multi-stage. When you use your sandcarving system to do a multi-stage carve, you are able to transform two-dimensional graphics into beautiful three-dimensional pieces of art.

Multi-stage glass carving is a unique technique that can only be accomplished through sandcarving. This process allows you to sandblast three-dimensional designs into glass with an end result that looks professional and adds value to your piece of art. The multi-stage sandcarving process takes practice to perfect, but with time you can achieve beautiful results.

  • Multi-Stage Carve: Darin goes into detail (with photos) on the different stages of carving your piece and peeling  your mask off in sections in order to get the 3D effect you are after.
