Sub Sand Laser Seminar Recap
Thank you to everyone who attended our Sublimate, Sandcarve & Laser Seminar in Minnepolis last weekend! Although the two days were a bit of a whirlwind and flew by, we had a BLAST meeting all the people who were new to sandcarving, as well as seeing some familiar faces. Keep reading to find out more about what this seminar entailed.
Sub, Sand, Laser Seminar for the Personalization Industry
This two-day, hands-on technical workshop combined three revenue-generating technologies: lasers, sandblasting and sublimation. It was designed for beginners and advanced users within the Personalization Industry who are looking to grow their business. The seminar was co-hosted by laser experts from Trotec Laser, sandblasting experts from IKONICS Imaging, and sublimation experts from JDS Industries. Sublimate with JDS Industries
With an offering of over 25,000 products JDS Industries is the largest wholesaler of sublimation products. During this portion of the seminar attendees learned about different sublimation substrates, techniques and equipment. There was also plenty of time for hands-on sublimating where they could sublimate a variety of substrates such as polar camels, can koozies, personal badges and more.
Sandcarve with IKONICS Imaging
Made in America and distributed globally, IKONICS Imaging supplies the most innovative line of sandcarvers, automated washout units, photoresist films, crystal products, and training. During this portion of the seminar, attendees learned about different sandcarving substrates, techniques and equipment options.

After a presentation, attendees had time for hands-on sandcarving where they could test out different techniques on a variety of substrates, including rocks glasses, wine glasses, ceramic mugs and a glass block with a laser mask that Trotec Laser engraved in order to show how to use your laser engraver in combination with sandcarving.

Sub, Sand, Laser Seminar in San Diego
