Our original Ikonart Stencil Film is designed to be used to create custom, reusable silkscreen stencils. These blue stencils are perfect for glass, mirrors, ceramic, chalkboards and other smooth, flat surfaces. The adhesive is gentle enough so the stencils won't distort when you are removing them from these types of smooth surfaces.

If you are looking for stickier stencils for shirts, tea towels, pillow covers, fabric, textiles, wood, or other textured surfaces, check out our Ikonart Textile Film. This new purple film was specifically designed for DIY screen printing on textiles, but the more aggressive adhesive makes it the perfect choice for wood projects as well.
NOTE SUGGESTED EXPOSURE TIMES
QuickImage Exposure Time is 7-14 seconds.
Letralite Exposure Time is 40-60 seconds.
Exposure times are suggested only as a guide. All exposure times are approximations and will vary based on type of UV light source used, age of light source, and local voltage ranges. Exposure times can also vary based on the type of phototool used.
NOTE ON POST-EXPOSURE
Post-exposing our Ikonart Stencil Film will increase the durability when reusing your stencils. After you washout and dry your stencil for the first time, just pop it back under the exposure light for a minimum of 2 minutes (we recommend 2-3 minutes; you cannot over post-expose the film). This step is absolutely necessary to increase the durability when washing and re-washing your stencil for multiple uses.
DON'T FORGET PRINTER FILM
When ordering your stencil film, don't forget to also order either Inkjet Printer Film or Laser Printer Film so you can make your stencils!
SAFETY INFORMATION
Our stencil films are made in the USA at our headquarters in Duluth, Minnesota. They have been independently tested by InfoTox International to ensure they are safe when used as directed. They meet all health requirements of the Labeling of Hazardous Art Materials Act (LHAMA) and conform to ASTM D-4236.
